Adega de Palmela reinforces wine tourism visits and experiences

06/08/2025Adega de Palmela wants to publicise the best of the Setúbal Peninsula Wine Route. With guided tours, wine tastings and harvest experiences, wine tourism is taking on a new lease of life in one of the country's most emblematic wine regions.

Promoting wine culture, valuing local production and bringing the consumer closer to the winemaking process are the main objectives of Adega de Palmela’s wine tourism service, which invites you to discover the wine-growing tradition of the Setúbal Peninsula through guided tours, tastings and exclusive activities.
During the visit, participants are taken on a complete tour that begins with the reception of the grapes and ends with a wine tasting in the cellar, passing through the filling line, shop and barrel area. The experience takes place from Tuesday to Saturday, between 9am and 1pm and 2pm and 6pm, and must be booked in advance.

The price per person varies between 7 euros (visit with a tasting of three wines) and 12 euros (including a tasting of regional products), and it is possible to opt for premium wines with a supplement of 2 euros. Other options are available on request.

But it’s during the month of September that the experience becomes truly unique. Adega de Palmela offers four days entirely dedicated to the grape harvest: 3, 10, 17 and 24 September 2025. The programme starts at 9am with a welcome and the offer of a harvest kit, followed by the cutting of the grapes in the vineyards, accompanied by tapas and house wines. Then there’s a visit to the winery, foot treading and, at 12.30pm, lunch in the barrel cellar with a commented wine tasting. The day ends at 4pm with a bottle of wine on offer.

The experience costs 90 euros per person and is limited to 50 participants. Transport is the client’s responsibility. For those wishing to stay overnight in the region, there is an exclusive rate of €90/night for two people, in partnership with RM Guest House (subject to availability).
