Book Launch at Camões Library Supported by APENO and Adega de Palmela
20/04/2026Event brought together book lovers, highlighted the value of bibliographic heritage and promoted the concept of urban wine tourism.Camões Library, in Lisbon, hosted on 16 April the launch of the book “A Passion for Books and Manuscripts – Annotated Catalogue” by António da Cunha Reis, in an event that attracted a large and engaged audience interested in the world of books and cultural heritage.
Organised by the publisher By the Book, the session featured a presentation by Manuel Braga da Cruz, who highlighted the importance of the work as a contribution to the preservation, study and appreciation of books and manuscripts as fundamental testimonies of history and culture.
Throughout the event, the enthusiasm of the participants was evident, with the room filled for this moment of sharing and reflection, in an atmosphere marked by the close connection between the author, guests and audience. António da Cunha Reis’s work offers an in-depth perspective on the value of books as cultural objects, bringing together knowledge, sensitivity and experience.
The event was also supported by the Portuguese Association of Wine Tourism (APENO) and Adega de Palmela, whose presence helped enrich the experience by offering a moment of urban wine tourism following the presentation, with socialising and a wine tasting.
Held in one of the city’s most emblematic spaces for the promotion of reading and knowledge, the launch stood out as a significant cultural moment, underlining the importance of initiatives that celebrate books, memory and heritage.
