Casa do JOA: Wine experiences that reveal the soul of Trás-os-Montes

In the heart of Alto Transmontano, Casa do JOA offers sensory and cultural experiences that celebrate the traditions, flavours and stories of the region.
Located in Parada, in the municipality of Moncorvo, Casa do JOA invites visitors to discover the authenticity of Trás-os-Montes through unique and intimate wine tourism proposals. One of the most complete experiences is ‘Winemaker for a day’, where participants accompany the winemaker on a visit to the vineyard and winery, learn about winemaking and create their own wine, complete with a personalised bottle. The activity lasts three hours and is limited to six people, guaranteeing close and personalised support.
But there’s much more to explore. For lovers of fine dining, Casa do JOA organises wine dinners served in the cellar, always in an exclusive setting and with menus typical of the region prepared by chef Bruno Rodrigues (BRB – Gastronomia com Paixão). The meals are harmonised with the house wines and accompanied by explanations from the winemaker. There are also more sophisticated options, such as the Fado dinner, starring fado singer Carla Silva and a guitarist, or the signature dinner at the Michelin-starred G Pousada restaurant.
