Casa João Portugal Ramos launches the second edition of the award-winning Vinha dos Muros

27/07/2025The new edition of Casa João Portugal Ramos' white wine Vinha dos Muros (2024), distinguished last year as the best white wine in the Douro at the Douro Superior Wine Festival, has arrived on the market. Produced from a single plot in the Upper Douro, this wine emphasises the region's wine-growing heritage.

With the arrival of spring, one of Duorum’s most acclaimed proposals also returns: Vinha dos Muros 2024, now in its second edition. The wine, which last year won over the jury at the 11th Douro Superior Wine Festival, is once again available in its new vintage, in selected wine shops, at a price of €20.
Vinha dos Muros is born from a unique vineyard planted with Arinto and Gouveio, surrounded by ancient schist walls restored by Duorum itself. There are only 6,000 bottles of a white wine with citrus aromas of lime and mandarin, subtle notes of aniseed and mint, and a fresh, long and elegant finish, marked by slight smoky nuances.
João Perry Vidal and João Maria Portugal Ramos are in charge of the oenology, continuing the rigour and identity of the Duorum project, which began in 2007 and combines sustainability with the production of top quality wines. This project is also responsible for other iconic labels such as Tons de Duorum or O’Leucura.

With vineyards located between 150 and 500 metres above sea level, Duorum works exclusively with indigenous grape varieties, making the most of the diversity of the Douro terroir.
This launch reinforces the position of Casa João Portugal Ramos as a benchmark in the sector, combining tradition, innovation and respect for the territory in a proposal that promises to mark the toasts of the season.
