Dow’s Late Bottled Vintage 2020 arrives on the market with a new image inspired by the nature of the Douro
21/07/2025Dow's launches Late Bottled Vintage 2020 with a new image that celebrates the nature of the Douro, highlighting intense flavours and the tradition of the Symington family.Dow’s, the historic Port house owned by the Symington family, has just launched the new vintage of Late Bottled Vintage (LBV) 2020. Produced exclusively with grapes from the Quinta do Bomfim and Quinta da Senhora da Ribeira vineyards, the new LBV now has a renewed image that pays homage to the Douro’s natural and family heritage.
With intense aromas of blackcurrant and blackberry, enriched by notes of dark chocolate, cistus and forest elements such as pine and eucalyptus, Dow’s LBV 2020 expresses in the tasting the structure of the brand’s typical tannins, combined with a mineral and earthy profile, marked by the Douro schist.
The new label image that accompanies this launch is inspired by the stories shared by members of the 4th and 5th generation of the Symington family. The illustration incorporates emblematic elements of the estates where the wine is born, such as black kites, butterflies – fundamental to the ecological balance of the vineyards – orange and olive trees that punctuate the landscape of the Douro Valley.
Ideal for enjoying on its own or paired with chocolate desserts and aged cheeses such as Cheddar or Manchego, Dow’s Late Bottled Vintage 2020 is now available in the main wine shops.
Recognised worldwide, Dow’s is the author of landmark wines such as Dow’s Vintage Port 2007, the only Port of this century to receive the maximum score of 100 points from Wine Spectator.
