ÉvoraWine: 10th edition with 300 wines, 50 producers and an unprecedented party
19/05/2025This year ÉvoraWine celebrates its 10th edition, consolidating its position as the biggest wine event in the Alentejo and one of the most important on the national scene. On 23 and 24 May, Évora’s Praça do Giraldo will once again be the epicentre of a huge festival dedicated to wine, with more than 50 producers and around 300 wine references on display. The event, which every year attracts thousands of visitors from different parts of the country and abroad, promises a memorable edition, characterised by the diversity, quality and richness of Alentejo wine.
The official opening takes place on Friday 23rd at 6pm, with a session that includes the presentation of the ‘’or todo o Alentejo’ awards, which recognise outstanding figures in the areas of wine, gastronomy and culture. The opening moment will feature a performance by the traditional Alentejo singing group “Os Almocreves”, followed by music from the Caranguejos da Cevada group. At 8pm, fado singer Inês Villa-Lobos takes to the stage and the evening continues with a joint show by Teresa Franco, Bruno Cramez and Nuno Páscoa, bringing the first day’s musical programme to a close at 10pm.
On Saturday 24 May, ÉvoraWine reopens in the late afternoon at 6pm with a performance by the Sevilhanas Group, followed by a concert by Carla Saramago, accompanied by Rui Gonçalves on drums, Bruno Cramez on guitar and José Silva on bass. The Mala Conexion Group will liven up the square from 8.30pm, bringing the artistic programme to a close at Praça do Giraldo at 10pm.
One of the great novelties of the commemorative edition is the closing party, the ÉvoraWine Party, which will take place at Horta das Laranjeiras from 22.30. The entertainment will be provided by the band Os Vizinhos and DJ Pedro d’Orey, extending the festive atmosphere until 2am.
Throughout the two days, visitors will also be able to taste typical Alentejo dishes prepared by partner restaurants, creating a perfect pairing between wines and the flavours of the region.
The 10th edition of ÉvoraWine has the support of the Alentejo and Ribatejo Regional Tourism Authority, the Alentejo Regional Wine Commission, Évora Town Hall, the Alentejo Confraternity of Oenophiles and the Alentejo Confraternity of Gastronomy, in a joint effort to establish Évora as an unavoidable reference in the valorisation of the region’s wine culture and production.
