Fitapreta Expands Its Wine Tourism Calendar with Spring Experiences

Fitapreta, the wine project led by winemaker António Maçanita, is once again investing in a varied spring wine tourism programme at Paço do Morgado de Oliveira in Évora, with a series of experiences that bring together wine, gastronomy, nature and sustainability.

Named Best Wine Tourism Estate in Portugal in 2025 by APENO and ranked 26th in The World’s 50 Best Wineries, Fitapreta has steadily consolidated its reputation as a reference destination, and now strengthens its offering further with new events conceived for a range of audiences.

The programme opens with a vineyard picnic — an open-air proposition that invites guests to slow down and savour the Alentejo landscape in a relaxed setting designed for couples and families alike.

In May, a zero-waste workshop follows, centred on sustainable cooking and making the most of every ingredient. The experience includes a visit to the estate’s organic kitchen garden, which supplies the restaurant A Cozinha do Paço — recently awarded a MICHELIN Star and a Green Star — and concludes with a lunch paired with wines.

One of the season’s highlights is the Food Love Fest, which brings together several acclaimed chefs, including Afonso Dantas, David Jesus and Rodrigo Castelo, in a gathering that crosses creative cooking, wine and a spirit of conviviality.

In early June, the estate hosts a children’s educational week, with activities centred on nature, animals and local production — from honey to olive oil — reinforcing the project’s commitment to education.

The season closes with a celebration of the Fête de la Musique, marking the arrival of summer with live music, small plates and wine in a festive open-air atmosphere.

With this programme, Fitapreta reaffirms its positioning as an experiential destination, embracing the trends of contemporary wine tourism and broadening the audiences it draws to the Alentejo.
