José Maria da Fonseca and Adega José de Sousa organize activities for Valentine’s Day.

13/02/2026José Maria da Fonseca is celebrating Valentine's Day with special programs for couples at the José Maria da Fonseca House-Museum in Azeitão and at the José de Sousa Winery in Reguengos de Monsaraz, which include guided tours, wine tastings and exclusive offers, on February 14th and 15th.

José Maria da Fonseca has prepared two wine tourism proposals designed to celebrate Valentine’s Day in an atmosphere of charm, history and sharing. On February 14th and 15th, the José Maria da Fonseca House-Museum in Azeitão and the José de Sousa Winery in Reguengos de Monsaraz will host romantic programs designed to provide moments for two, where wine plays a central role.

At the José Maria da Fonseca House-Museum in Azeitão, the experience begins with a guided tour through historic rooms, cellars, and gardens, revealing the human and familial dimension of one of the most emblematic Portuguese wine houses. Throughout the tour, visitors encounter objects, memories, and references that tell the story of the company and its deep connection to the Setúbal Peninsula. The visit culminates with a tasting of three iconic Moscatel de Setúbal wines – Alambre Roxo, João Pires Moscatel, and Alambre 20 Anos – accompanied by chocolates, designed to be enjoyed in an intimate setting. Each couple also receives a complimentary bottle of Alambre Moscatel de Setúbal, with a personalized necklace and romantic message.

In the Alentejo region, the José de Sousa Winery invites couples to discover the ancestral tradition of winemaking in clay amphorae through a guided tour in the heart of Reguengos de Monsaraz. The tour allows visitors to learn about a rare and artisanal production method, where the wine is born from the dialogue between clay, grapes, and time. The experience includes a tasting of Porco Bravo Tinto, José de Sousa Tinto, and a Moscatel de Setúbal wine, accompanied by chocolates. At the end, each couple receives a bottle of Montado Tinto, also with a personalized necklace and romantic message.

With these initiatives, José Maria da Fonseca proposes to celebrate love in two landmark locations of national wine tourism, through experiences that combine wine, heritage and sharing, in a weekend designed to toast with time, flavor and lasting memories.
