Lavradores de Feitoria Launches New Três Bagos Sauvignon Blanc Vintage

Lavradores de Feitoria has launched Três Bagos Sauvignon Blanc 2025, one of the flagship wines in its portfolio and one of the pioneering Sauvignon Blanc wines produced in the Douro. The new vintage reaches the market with a refreshed visual identity, reinforcing the brand’s image and its connection to the Três Bagos range.

First released with the 2000 vintage, the same year Lavradores de Feitoria was founded, Três Bagos Sauvignon Blanc has become one of Portugal’s benchmark expressions of this international grape variety. Over the years, it has stood out for combining the characteristic aromatic profile of Sauvignon Blanc with the influence of the Douro’s schist soils and high-altitude vineyards.

According to Filipe Caetano, Executive Director of the company, each new vintage represents an important milestone for the project. He also notes that the new packaging aims to strengthen the visibility of the Lavradores de Feitoria brand and create a clearer association with the Três Bagos range, one of the company’s most recognised collections among consumers.

Produced from grapes grown in vineyards situated at over 420 metres above sea level, Três Bagos Sauvignon Blanc 2025 displays a fresh, mineral and balanced profile. The winemaking process includes partial ageing in used French oak barrels for four to five months, contributing greater complexity, structure and ageing potential.

Paulo Ruão, Director of Viticulture and Winemaking, describes the wine as vibrant, fresh and aromatic, with notes of tropical and fresh fruit such as pineapple and melon, complemented by delicate herbal nuances. Its lively acidity and balance between fruit and structure result in a persistent and versatile wine at the table.

Três Bagos Sauvignon Blanc 2025 is particularly well suited to salads, fish dishes, seafood and Asian cuisines, including sushi and Korean food.

Founded in 2000 by a group of Douro winegrowers, Lavradores de Feitoria pioneered a collaborative winemaking model in the region. Today, the company brings together 15 winegrowers, represents around 380 hectares of vineyards across 20 estates, and operates throughout the Douro’s three sub-regions: Baixo Corgo, Cima Corgo and Douro Superior.
