Madeira Wine Company Unveils Nine New Wines

Madeira Wine Company has unveiled its 2026 New Releases Collection, comprising nine limited-edition wines that reinforce the company’s commitment to preserving and promoting Madeira’s rich winemaking heritage. The collection includes four Frasqueiras, four Colheitas, and a special 50-Year-Old blend, released under the historic Blandy’s Madeira, Cossart Gordon and Miles Madeira brands.

Developed under the direction of winemaker Francisco Albuquerque and his technical team, the new collection is the result of careful selection and long-term ageing, showcasing the diversity of Madeira’s traditional grape varieties and the distinctive character of each of the group’s historic brands.

Among the highlights is Blandy’s 50-Year-Old Terrantez, an exceptional blend created from more than eight historic vintages of the rare Terrantez grape variety, with an average age of five decades. The collection also includes Blandy’s Bual 1980, Verdelho 1987, Sercial 2013 and Verdelho 2013, alongside Cossart Gordon Verdelho Colheita 2014, Cossart Gordon Bual Frasqueira 1992, Cossart Gordon Sercial Frasqueira 1976—celebrating 50 years of cask ageing—and Miles Tinta Negra Colheita 2009.

According to Chris Blandy, Chairman of Madeira Wine Company and a seventh-generation member of the Blandy family, the collection brings together “the energy, evolution and passion of the group’s three historic houses, reflecting the unique character of Madeira’s terroir through exceptional wines.”

The new releases are now available in both Portuguese and international markets, further strengthening Madeira Wine Company’s position as one of the leading producers and custodians of Madeira wine.
