Quinta das Lágrimas features special menus

12/02/2026Quinta das Lágrimas Hotel, in Coimbra, marks Valentine’s Day with two exclusive menus, one for lunch and another for dinner, available only on February 14th, and designed specifically to celebrate the date in a romantic and exquisite setting.

These are two special gastronomic proposals, available exclusively on Saturday, February 14th, subject to prior reservation, at Quinta das Lágrimas, in Coimbra. The menus, one for lunch and one for dinner, were designed by the team led by chef Vítor Dias and reflect a contemporary approach to Portuguese gastronomic tradition, with a strong emphasis on seasonal products.

Designed for different times of the day, the two gastronomic journeys maintain the restaurant’s identity and propose distinct experiences, suitable for those seeking an elegant lunch or a more elaborate dinner to mark the date.

For lunch, the St. Valentine’s menu begins with a welcome appetizer from the chef, followed by a tuna ceviche with avocado, red onion, sweet cucumber, and wasabi. As the main course, customers can choose between codfish feijoada (bean stew) with “cabritas” (sweet corn) and mint pil-pil, or pork presa accompanied by a sauté of chestnuts, mushrooms, and quince. The dessert is an Abade de Priscos pudding with citrus aromas, served with orange and lime sorbet.

For dinner, Quinta das Lágrimas presents a more sophisticated menu, started with a greeting from chef Vítor Dias. The journey includes lobster with cauliflower textures, pine nut, and Baga sparkling wine sauce, hake with vegetable tempura, apple pearls, and curry and coconut sauce, and milk-fed veal tournedos with roasted Jerusalem artichoke, grilled boletus mushroom, and truffle jus. The dessert, entitled ‘The Heart’, combines essences of rose, hibiscus, chocolate, and chili pepper, accompanied by petit-fours.
