Quinta de Fonte Souto organises wine tourism open days

Quinta de Fonte Souto in Portalegre, a Symington Family Estates property in the heart of the Serra de São Mamede Natural Park, has just announced a new season full of wine and nature experiences. Among vineyard tours, picnics and wine tastings, the highlight is the ‘Open Days’ on 23 May and 10 June, with guided tours and free wine tastings – by prior reservation.
Throughout spring and summer, the estate invites you to enjoy gourmet picnics, where the best of regional cuisine is served in typical baskets, or to take part in tastings accompanied by breathtaking scenery. There are also daily visits to the winery, commented tastings and bike rides – all in harmony with the nature that surrounds the estate’s 207 hectares, of which 43 are occupied by vineyards and 100 by forest.
Quinta de Fonte Souto was Symington’s first project outside the Douro and aims to raise the profile of the wine-growing potential of the Portalegre sub-region in the Alto Alentejo.
