Quinta Vale D. Maria Presents Douro Superior Rosé from the 2024 Harvest

Quinta Vale D. Maria has just launched a new wine in its portfolio: Vale D. Maria Douro Superior Rosé 2024. From Quinta Vale do Sabor, in the Douro Superior sub-region, this new rosé is the result of a blend of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca and Rufete.
With a pale pink colour, the wine stands out for its freshness, subtle aromatic profile and moderate minerality, in a lighter and more contemporary style, but still anchored in the characteristics of the Douro. Production originated in vineyards located in a narrow, winding valley next to the River Sabor, in an area recognised for its particular expression of terroir.
Diogo Campilho, the winemaking director, says that the launch comes ‘in response to the growing consumer interest in rosés with identity and balance’. According to the producer, the new wine seeks to reflect the diversity of the region from a fresher and more versatile perspective.
Quinta Vale D. Maria’s new reference joins the other Douro vintages already produced by the brand, reinforcing the house’s presence in different market segments.
