Vintner’s Table Returns with Exclusive Wine Dinners
16/04/2026Bomfim 1896 hosts a new edition of the experience combining rare wines and signature cuisine.Vintner’s Table, one of Symington Family Estates’ most exclusive gastronomic experiences, returns to the Douro with a new series of dinners at Bomfim 1896 restaurant, located at Quinta do Bomfim in Pinhão.
The season begins on 23 April with an edition dedicated to Quinta do Ataíde and Graham’s, marking the start of a four-part series throughout the year, designed to bring guests closer to the Symington family’s wine universe in an intimate and personalised setting.
Each Vintner’s Table dinner is distinguished by the presence of members of the Symington family and in-house experts, who accompany guests throughout the experience, sharing stories, insights and anecdotes about wines that span generations.
The opening edition will feature Vicky Symington, from the family’s fifth generation, alongside Mariana Brito, who will guide the experience and provide context for the wines being tasted.
The dinner will be curated by chef Pedro Lencastre Monteiro, presenting a Portuguese-inspired menu designed to pair with a carefully selected range of wines. The experience begins with a welcome drink of Graham’s Blend Nº5, followed by dishes such as charcoal-grilled octopus with lentils and chouriço, paired with Pequeno Dilema 2023, and skewered Bísaro pork with feijoada-inspired flavours, matched with Quinta do Ataíde 2019.
Among the highlights is braised oxtail with Portuguese greens and chickpeas, served with Quinta do Ataíde Vinha do Arco 2017, before concluding with a dessert of pão de ló with Serra cheese, paired with Graham’s Single Harvest 2001.
One of the most memorable moments of the evening will be the traditional fire-opening of Vintage bottles Graham’s Quinta dos Malvedos 1992 and 1996 — a rare ritual that underscores the exclusivity of the experience and brings the dinner to a close with a prestigious tasting, accompanied by a selection of Portuguese cheeses.
Following this first edition, the calendar continues with further experiences throughout the year: 3 June, dedicated to SFE Premium Whites; 10 September, focusing on Dow’s; and 3 December, centred on Quinta do Vesúvio. Each event will feature different guests and specialists, ensuring a unique experience on every occasion.
