Quinta do Ataíde reinforces its commitment to sustainability

13/04/2026The Symington Family Estates brand has unveiled a new look that reinforces its position as a leader in sustainability in the Douro.

Quinta do Ataíde is embarking on a new strategic phase with the unveiling of its new visual identity, reinforcing its position as the leading sustainability reference for Symington Family Estates. More than just an aesthetic renovation, the rebranding reflects the brand’s vision for the future, based on environmental responsibility, innovation, and the appreciation of the Douro winemaking legacy.

The new image integrates an organic ‘A’-shaped logo, illustrations inspired by native flora, and graphic elements that evoke the property’s winery, which has been awarded LEED Gold certification. The visual ensemble aims to reflect the brand’s environmental commitment and its connection to the territory, responding to the expectations of an increasingly informed consumer who is attentive to the sustainable practices of the brands they choose.

This identity will now be present in the wines produced in the unique terroir of Quinta do Ataíde, located in the Vilariça Valley. Among them are Quinta do Ataíde, a blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Alicante Bouschet, and Vinha do Arco, a single-varietal Touriga Nacional. The renovation consolidates a narrative that combines heritage and environmental awareness, highlighting that excellence and sustainability are inseparable dimensions of the project. “We are excited to reveal the new image of Quinta do Ataíde, which represents much more than a visual update. It is a clear expression of our commitment to sustainability, innovation and authenticity, pillars that define not only the brand, but our entire vision for the future,” says Alexandre Mariz, Brand Manager of Symington Family Estates.

The property stands out for integrating the largest continuous area of certified organic vineyards in northern Portugal, consolidating its leadership in responsible agricultural practices. This focus on native grape varieties and sustainable production has reinforced brand recognition, both in the Douro and in international markets, where interest in wines of sustainable origin and unique identity is growing.
