The Torre de Palma Wine Hotel, in the municipality of Monforte, Alentejo, will celebrate the 2025/2026 New Year with a special three-night program that blends wine, gastronomy, heritage, and cultural experiences, between December 30, 2025, and January 2, 2026.
According to the hotel, the program proposes a celebration inspired by the property’s centuries-old history, dating back to the 1st century, and includes four days of activities designed to bid farewell to 2025 and welcome 2026.
On December 30, check-in is scheduled for 3:00 PM, followed by a welcome drink at the top of Torre de Palma, with a panoramic view and house wines at sunset. Dinner takes place at the Palma Restaurant, with a menu inspired by the Roman era, paired with the special “Torre de Palma – Musas” wine collection.
December 31 begins with a breakfast of regional products and includes workshops on Alentejo embroidery and the “pedrada” pottery from Nisa, led by local artisans. The program also includes a communal lunch of traditional Alentejo cuisine, a guided tour of the internationally award-winning Torre de Palma winery with a wine tasting, and a late-afternoon welcome cocktail.
New Year’s Eve will be celebrated with a special tasting menu, conceived by Chef Miguel Laffan, with wine pairing, followed by a fireworks display at midnight atop the tower. The celebration continues with an open bar, DJ, and dance floor at the Bar Cortejo de Baco, as well as a New Year’s Eve supper in the early hours.
On January 1, 2026, after breakfast, guests are invited to participate in a winter picnic in nature, with the afternoon reserved for free activities, such as using the pool, spa, massages, and equestrian experiences. The program concludes on January 2, with breakfast and check-out by 12:00 PM.
The proposal also includes access to the spa, with an indoor pool, jacuzzi, and Turkish bath, a bicycle service for exploring the property, and the possibility of a late check-out, subject to availability. Optional activities are also available, such as spa treatments, gastronomic and agricultural workshops, hot air balloon rides, equestrian activities, and children’s programs, at an additional cost.
The New Year’s program requires a minimum stay of three nights. For more information, please contact the hotel directly.
